Units come in two sizes-5m x3m and 5m x 1.5 m

The units are safe, cool and clean.

Visiting cats receive personal room service and their own choice of foods.

Cat comforts include:

high, insulated roofing, insulated partitioning and shelving

plastic roller blinds for weather protection

sleeping boxes and cuddly blankets (with heated pads when needed)

climbing poles for exercise and hammocks to relax in

sunny spots, sheltered spots and lots and lots of room to run around

Daily Routine

Morning - Visiting cats are offered their selection of biscuits or other treats. Water bowls are replenished, dirt boxes changed, units cleaned. Then comes 'Chat Time' with brushing, fussing, playing or just plain chatting. Cats requiring medication will be cared for.

Evening - Supper of choice served- a selection of meats and tinned foods will be available as ordered and any special tit bits as requested. More chats and water and litter trays checked.

Before bed time - a check that all is well and good nights.

All Units have views of trees, birds, shrubs. Some are more secluded than others - for the shy cats - and others face the front where our catty visitors can keep an eye on everything.

The best care will be taken of our visitors with close attention paid to appetite, health and demeanour. Any concerns will be dealt with promptly and professionally. Please refer to our Conditions of Boarding below.

The rates are per night, irrespective of drop off or pick up times, and include food, litter, bedding and special care of elderly cats, and medications.

Current rates apply until 31 August 2024 - ask Sue for a quote, thanks.

Rates increase from 1 September 2024. Prices include 10% GST.

For visits over 45 nights, fly-in fly-out terms and for three or more cats, please ask for a quote.

Our Terms and Conditions

Extract from the Boarding Contract:

CONDITIONS OF BOARDING

Deposit of $................ to be paid in advance to secure the booking, balance on collection.
If a booking is cancelled within three days of contracted drop off date, the deposit may be retained by Chicas Cattery. Thank you.
Cats/kittens are to be in good health on arrival - subject to inspection by proprietor.
All kittens / cats over the age of 7 months need to be sterilized.
Proprietor reserves the right to decline to accept a cat/kitten that is in obvious ill health or has a suspected infectious condition or fleas. If flea treatment is found to be necessary, the owner will be liable - currently for Advantage at $15.00 each vial.
All cats to be vaccinated, minimum F3. Vaccination certificate to be sighted.
In the event of illness or accident to the visiting cat/kitten, the proprietor will do all possible to contact the owner and consult on appropriate action. If the proprietor is not able to contact the owner in a timely manner, the owner permits the proprietor to take all necessary action in regard to veterinary consultation.
If the cat requires veterinary attention the owners are liable for all costs and out of pocket expenses incurred in the treatment. In the event of serious illness or accident and the owner cannot be contacted the veterinarian's decision relating to the treatment of the animal will be adhered to.
Whilst every care and attention will be given by the proprietor or any staff of Chicas Cattery towards visiting cats/kittens, the owner releases Chicas Cattery from all liability for injury, death, loss or damage of any kind whatsoever that may occur to any animal in the care of or staying at Chicas Cattery.
By signing the Boarding Contract, the owner acknowledges that the contract is binding between themselves and Chicas Cattery in relation to care of their animal and payment of boarding charges as outlined in this contract.
